While many laptops have an inbuilt wireless adapter card, they may not always be the ideal cards which affect your reception. In such cases, it is always better to have some alternate solution that can give you a better reception without having to purchase a new laptop all together. The WUA-2340 is one such wireless adapter. To use it on your desktop or laptop you would need D-Link WUA-2340 Drivers.

The WUA-2340 comes with RangeBooster technology. This allows for better reception over longer distances. So you can enjoy connectivity in places where it was tough with the older WiFi adapters. If you are close, you can then enjoy much better connectivity now than before.
The adapter comes with a simple USB2.0 port which will plug into any UBS port on your laptop. With backward compatibility to USB1.1 it would work even on older laptops and desktops. However the real benefits of the RangeBooster technology may not be evident in USB1.1 due to reduced throughput.
To connect this device to your computer you need to install the respective drivers. These drivers will be available in the CD that comes with the stick. Run the CD and follow the instructions and you can install the drivers.
Sometimes, people do purchase these sticks from friends or people online and may not have the CD. In that case you can visit the D Link site for the software. Typically, if you search for the product on the D-Link site you will get all relevant documentation and the driver software there.
Like most modern devices, the WUA-2340 is also a plug and play device. If you have the right drivers installed, you just need to plug the stick in the computer and it will get detected. Once detected, you can scan for wireless networks and pick the one you want to connect to.
